AT&T phone service tips

Want to get some shortcuts for your AT&T phone service?  While planning for my PTO, with Matt subbing, he’ll  check messages for both Laura and myself, from Laura’s phone.  In my online search,  I learned some cool phone functions.  Also,  check out the attached shortcut, for listening to your messages.

AT&T Unified Messaging Functions

Call forwarding: From your phone, dial 72#, and the phone number that will receive the calls, and press #.

To end call forwarding, from your phone, just dial 73#

Checking messages from a different phone: You can access your   AT&T Unified Messaging mailbox from any touch-tone telephone, no matter   where you are, any time of day. You can use your wireless phone, your home   telephone, your office telephone or any pay telephone to access your mailbox.   Depending on where you’re calling from, local, toll or usage charges may   apply.

To access your AT&T Unified Messaging messages using a   phone:

Call your telephone number and dial * once the message begins   playing, and dial your pin number and pound sign.

Q: Some of my callers want to skip my greeting and     record their messages immediately. How can they do this?
A: Tell     your callers to press the # key when they hear your greeting. The greeting     will stop playing, and they’ll hear the record tone.

Urgent Message   Playback Options:

When   turned on, this feature lets you designate which types of urgent messages you   want to hear first upon accessing your mailbox over the telephone. By   choosing one of the message types, that particular message type, if marked   urgent by the sender, will be played ahead of any non-urgent messages.

Changing Your PIN/Login Settings1

MiCAFE Tip of the Week

Hello All! I recently encountered a problem with a MiCAFE application and received assistance from a representative and wanted to pass it your way.

I was trying to obtain access to an application that I previously was providing assistance with, but had not yet completed the application as of yet.  As I was in the process of inputting the member’s name and information (to log into their application), the website indicated that the application did not exist for this particular member.  The representative recommended simply inputting just the member’s social security number, instead all of the information requested.  After doing so,  I was able to access the application.  Hope this helps!  T

Asset Information for Medicaid

When assisting a member/client complete DHS form 1171,  life insurance policies can only be counted as an asset if the policy has cash/surrender value.  If the member cannot borrow from the policy, it is not to be considered as an asset.

Updating Cosent to Release Forms using a “180 Days Calendar”

In relation to updating consent forms using the 180 days requirement, I have come up with a system and listed it below.  It seems to work pretty effectively. ~
After completing initial consent forms, I have been using a “180 days calendar” online to verify the exact date as to when the consent forms need to be updated.  From there, I include this date in a progress note and also make a note in my zimbra calendar, a week or two prior to the exact date as to when the consent from expires.  This allows me extra time to update the consent forms in case I cannot reach out to the member as quickly as I would like.

Hope this helps!

The 180 days calendar can be found at http://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/time/date-day.php
