Additional information provided by Maryanette:
David Wilson the Director of the Golden Supports Club did call back. He stated the program is connected with the MiChoice Waiver Service and is for those who are not medicaid eligible and have to pay out of their own pockets. They work with provider to decrease the amount or cost of a service. They provide an on-going-coupon discount for the term of their membership which is an annual membership. He did not say if there was a membership fee (note: flyer indicates $200). When I asked about assessing the services of their providers he answered that they provide the member with a Directory of Providers enrolled in the network. They are not involved in selecting a provider. The provider will bill the member, the member will get bills as normal and will be responsible for making sure they receive the discount. For further clarification you can contact David Wilson. He can be reached at his direct number which is (734) 287-7818.
