New & Future AASC Online Features

Per Mike at Pangea,

We now have the ability to select multiple health conditions at once on the ADL form.

In order to utilize this new feature, you simply need to press (and hold) the CTRL button while you click on each complication you want to select.  When you are done selecting your last complication, you can release the CTRL button.

I have also put in a request to allow for a day selection when printing progress notes.  Currently, you can only print one progress at a time or a complete month’s worth.  This creates a lot of wasted paper.  Mike and his team are working on adding this feature “in the near future”.

English – Spanish Translator

Try Spanishdict.com for help communicating with your Spanish speaking clients.  Simply type what you want to say in English and it will give you the Spanish translation including audio.  You can practice your spanish speaking or you can play the audio or you can turn your monitor so the member can read the text.

I tried it today and it helped a lot.

Downriver’s Center for Adult Education

I was looking for ESL classes in the Downriver area when I came across the website for the Southgate Adult & Community Education center which has earned the title, “Downriver’s Center for Adult and Alternative Education.”

The “SACE” is located inside of Asher school at 14101 Leroy, Southfield, MI.  Additional information can be found below and at: http://www.southgateadulted.org/default.htm

SACE is a comprehensive, full service educational program offering day and evening classes.  Some of the highlights include:

  • High School Completion
  • Alternative Education, which we call the “Advantage Academy”
  • Adult Basic Education (A.B.E.)
  • G.E.D. prep and test program
  • Vocational classes
  • Computer and Technology programs
  • English as a Second language program (ESL)
  • Community Outreach
  • Child Care programs
  • Enrichment and Leisure classes
