HUD Semi Annual Address

Hi All,

As many of you know, Sandy Jacques, our local HUD Administrator was able to retire last week after 30 years with HUD! Prior to departing, she cautioned us not to electronically submit documents until we have a permanent replacement for her. Hence, please be sure to snail mail (USPS) your Semi-Annual Reports (and Logic Models as applicable to CSI SCs) to:

Multifamily-Service Coordinator

477 Michigan Avenue

Detroit MI 48226

 

CSI SCs, you should still electronically submit a PDF of your Semi-Annual reports to Rachel and Sheila.

Recording 3 new AASC resources annually

Last Fall, while I was working on the HUD reports  I read that SC’s have a requirement  to add at least three new resources to AASC each year.   So, whenever I add a new resource on AASC, I am  typing in the notes section the date that I entered it.  Then I print off my copies for the resource directories.  One copy of the new resource goes in my “HUD reporting  folder” where I compile anything I may need for the next HUD report.  Hope this was helpful!

Semi Annual reporting of members under 62 who are frail or at risk

Answer:

I’m unsure at this point. I have some messages into HUD on this. In the meantime, Laura simply produced a quick memo indicating the number of frail and at risk members below the age of 62 with whom she is working. I think this is a good solution. I’m cc’ing the other CSI SCs so that they can utilize the same technique until we hear otherwise from HUD.

Question:

Since our Co-op has Members under 62 years of age, what additional information do we need to add in the report?  It was mentioned we needed a memo as well.  What do you want included in the memo?

Submitting Semi Annual Reports

Hi All,

Please submit your semi-annual reports via snail mail to Sandra Jacques at HUD at:

Detroit Multifamily Hub
477 Michigan Avenue, 16th Floor
Detroit, MI 48226

You should then submit your reports electronically to your supervisor and administrator (Rachel Jacobsen and Sharon Bolden for the CSI SCs).

Please remember who your audience is when writing your reports. It includes CSI or PVM as well as HUD.

Update on Logic Models for CSI SCs from Sandra Jacques. She reports that they are having difficulty with the contractor that holds the Logic Models on their sharepoint site.  We have not been able to get them opened for updating. She has asked us to complete another Logic Model Form and update with the program accomplishments so far and email it to her. I have not received this form from Sandra Jacques yet, so please start by filling out your original form out in pencil so that when we do get the new forms, you just need to type in the information.

HUD response on submitting Logic Model Outcomes

Note for CSI SCs only:

I received a couple emails back from Sandra Jacques with HUD.

Regarding Logic Models:
The contractor has to open the reports and send them to me so that I can send them to you. I am currently working on getting those open reports from them but in the event I can’t get them – I’ll just ask you to submit a new Logic Model Spreadsheet electronically that reflects the outcomes that have been achieved.

Regarding Semi- Annual Reports:

I prefer if each Service Coordinator prepares their own report.

 

I will update you as we learn more from HUD on how to submit the semi annual reports. In the meantime, please concentrate on your semi-annual report and corrective actions.
