Works of David Rubello

August 10 – September 21, 2012

Reception to meet the artist

5:00-8:00 pm

Native Detroit artist David Rubello studied art at Cass Technical High School and The Society of Arts and Crafts (now known as the College  for Creative Studies). A keen interest in art history enticed him to study at The Academy of Fine Art in Rome, Italy  and at The Kings Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen, Denmark. Further study at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor culminated in a Master of Fine Arts degree.

As a professor of art, Rubello has taught painting and drawing at University of Michigan,  Pennsylvania State University, Towson State University, Maryland, Macomb Community College, College for Creative Studies,  and  Daytona State College.

Invited to exhibit his work in both national and international exhibitions, David Rubello’s art works are included in many public and private collections. His relief paintings have been published in several issues of The Structurist Journal and his fine art photography was featured in Black and White Magazine.

Gallery  hours are Monday – Thursday by appointment, and Fridays 9 am-7pm. The Gallery is closed weekends.

– August 20-24th:  Early Registration for Fall 2012

– August 24th:  Luella Hannan Day / Ice Cream Social

– August 24th:  Last Day of Spring/Summer Term

– August 27th-September 9th:  Semester Break

– September 10-14th:  Regular Registration and Classes Begin

– September 17th -21st: Late and Final Registration ($3.00 Late fee)

Participants must be registered before attending classes.

A full listing of classes will soon be posted to the Hannan website.
