Logic Model Advice regarding YTD Column for CSI SCs

One key question has been how to fill out this “quarters” data and YTD on the Logic Models. If you look at the Instructions tab of your logic model, you’ll see some good answers. Everybody’s logic models are under logic models in the SC folder under program staff in shared files. However, it is a beast of the document, so the meaningful part reads:

“When reporting Activities in Year 1:

Enter your first quarter accomplishments in the “Post” column and the cumulative accomplishments in the “YTD” column. for the first quarter reporting, the number or dates will be the same in both columns. (Note: this is what you did 6 months ago).

For the second quarter of Year 1 reporting, enter the data covering second quarter activities and outcomes which occurred in that quarter only. In the “YTD” column, you will enter the cumulative total of both the first and second quarter accomplishments.”

Hence, you’ll be adding last time’s number with this time’s number for the YTD.

Trouble Shooting AASC Online Glitches

Answer:

Pangea says when this kind of problem happens, we should send them a screen print (push PrtScn on the keyboard).  (Then open word, I use Control v, save it, email Pangea, include the screen print as an attachment.)  Then, Pangea can look up that incidence and trouble shoot.

Question:

When I enter the time spent in the service log, the time changes and shows as 1 minute or negative 1 minute, when I go to print it.  I noticed it, the end of last week.  Today, I had to reenter and save a service log to register as 20 minutes, I entered it several times.

Adult Medical Program Open Enrollment

Adult Medical Program Begins Open Enrollment

Adults age 18-64, without health insurance, may begin to apply to the Adult Medical Program with the Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS). Open enrollment begins April 1st and continues through April 30th. The Adult Medical Program pays for basic medical care with low, to no co-pays and offers more coverage than a County Health Plan. To qualify you must:

  • Be between the ages of 18-64
  • Have no minor children at home
  • No income to low income: $316 (gross) a month, $425 a month for a married couple (higher income if working)
  • U.S. citizen, or legal resident for 5 years

You may apply at your local DHS Office. You may also use the DHS Kiosk computers in the lobby to apply online for the program, and someone will assist you. An application is also available online. The enrollment period ends on Tuesday, April 30.

Help for diabetic pets (yes, pets!)

If, like me, you have a client who seems to live for her pet, you might want to make note of this: The Michigan Humane Society (http://www.michiganhumane.org) will help low-income folks pay for insulin for their diabetic pets. There are a few hoops to jump through, but they’re relatively simple. See the Web link for the site nearest you and call the veterinary clinic for more information.
